Warning: date() [function.date]: It is not safe to rely on the system's timezone settings. You are *required* to use the date.timezone setting or the date_default_timezone_set() function. In case you used any of those methods and you are still getting this warning, you most likely misspelled the timezone identifier. We selected 'America/Chicago' for 'CDT/-5.0/DST' instead in /backup/qa/www/sub/rss/product.php on line 32

A Tech Group Notepad

It is the program that extends the abilities of the standard Windows Notepad that is quite poor for any useful actions except the .ini or .log files edition.

There are some features that really make this program better than Notepad: the charset change, the external text files insertion, the code indentation, text's words wrapping, text autoindentation, the primitive code templates (there are just the initial code tags of HTML (a document header), PHP (begin and end tags, empty function's body) and JavaScript code container. There is also the encodings convertion (DOS->WIN, WIN->DOS, KOI->WIN). If someone find the feature "Convert text to HTML" useful (I am not) - so it is there. The code colouring is supported.

Find, replace, find next, go to line number features are there too. It supports a number the HTML code templatesю The annoying thing is the trial version restriction - if you try to make some extra action (like code un-do) the nag-screen fires every time to remind "How I still love you (c) Queen" - it's just a joke. No it reminds the remain days of the trial version.

The program costs $18. You have to think does this program merit this price. Try the wscite first before you will buy it. Wscite - the Scintilla based editor that supports a lot of things and it's free of charge. It doesn't support the big blocks of code templates, but it supports the code completion, the scripting language interpretor integration (you may not only run your scripts but check the syntax as well).
